She is best known for her performance as Judy Kramer from the 2005 Fox TV series Point Pleasant and Marcy Brender from Dawson's Creek. She also played Marina Cooper for three years in Guiding Light, a role that earned her the 2004 Soap Opera Digest Awards for the best newcomer. Between 2007 and 2008 Dollar starred as Cindy Thomas on the ABC show Women's Murder Club. Dollar was a part of the 2012 NBC Pilot Happy Valley which was not taken up.
