Katherine Heigl has revealed her childhood in a bubble of white and how that influenced the way she cared for her adoptive multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane", revealed to an interviewer that it didn't matter how dark her skin color was for her. However, after meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she noticed the differences in the way people took care of her. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed while they were together with their parents, and the time they were on their own. She replied: 'Oh yes, every times! Heigl told parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I made me feel." She confessed that she was frustrated and felt the need to use this anger to support her children. Heigl is engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. The couple took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black and was adopted in 2009.
