Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous as the character Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC Show with the same title; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Born in California, Swanson became interested in acting as a young child. She began working in the world of advertising, appearing in a variety of commercials. She made her screen debut in an episode on NBCs sitcom It's Your Move in 1984. The following year, in 1986's romance comedy Pretty in Pink, Swan made her first appearance on the bigscreen. Famous for her blonde hair and the breathless voiceSwan is now playing side characters in recent time. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
