Recently, she made her directorial debut with Nicole C. Mullen in the short film THE GOD THAT SEES. The duo co-wrote the music in the film. Gifford is a patron of many charities for children such as Childhelp as well as the Association to Benefit Children. The two organizations were the inspiration behind Cassidy's Place and Cody House and were named after her two children. Gifford is a committed humanitarian who was awarded an honorary diploma in labor relations from Marymount University.
