April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4th in 1995. In the seventh grade she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for music writing. In the seventh grade April started taking guitar and piano lessons. This ignited her interest to write songs. When she was 14 April spent a lot of her time singing and writing songs. Soon after she began taking trips to write with father in NY and LA. April also included additional topics in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal ideas. Lockhart is also gaining a growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular clean beauty company Ilia. Lockhart was never born having a left-handed hand, which is what makes her what she is. But that's far from all the facts. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not conceal her being disabled and does not make a point of it. The message is? There is more to us than our physical selves. The identities we have are complex and we contain many different dimensions. Lockhart has stated on video that she doesn't wish to be defined by her disability. She doesn't want to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about disability. There are many aspects to Lockhart. And it doesn't affect my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting things. But, I consider it a very important component of my life. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body, at times, being unsure about wearing particular types of clothes showing the arms of her. She now wears whatever she likes. She also posts her photos on social media. One of the keys to self-love for her is that it's not a goal. It's true for all, no matter what their degree of self-confidence. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly know you and see your heart is really important since they'll be those that remind you of what are you worrying about?
